Happy sunday. I woke up feeling extra solid today since I just swept the hell out of the allergens informally residing here in my room. I understand that with this dark color and non-ventilated of a room along with the plethora of dead skin cells accumulating in my bed (aftermath of not leaving my bed 90% of the time), the dust and allergens just find this room a happy, eternal dwelling place. But frack. There was also an overabundance of daddy-long-legs crawling along the sides of my ceiling, which pushed my tolerance level beyond the borderline. I'm supposed to be investing my savings for a camera and funds for my 2014 US vacation but I guess I have to shift directions and invest in that allergen killing machine instead, which I found btw three times cheaper in amazon than the ones sold here in the Philipines (Johnny Air, we shall meet again).

Oh the Philippines is full of overpriced goods. My country deprives me the privilege of books, because most of them are just too damn expensive. There's this book entitled Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour bookstore which I really want to read since the first time it was released. See, I am a paperback kind of person, I'm too cheap practical to buy hard cover ones but Mr. Penumbra is an exception because of the gorgeous glow-in-the-dark hard cover. It irks me that for a hard cover book that is apparently light and thin, it is expensive than the average thicker and heavier hard covers. I scouted the price over at amazon and to my surprise, it is 500 pesos less. And why are paperback books getting more expensive by the second? Oh goodness, please don't let me buy an e-reader. I still have plans on a custom-built shelf.

I've finally sorted my list and my mind out. These are the books I'm planning on reading for the year (and this is final). It is a mixture of almost everything - contemporary, classics, YA, sci-fi, and humor. I'm pretty firm on keeping a list so as to avoid unwanted purchases. I'm already about to finish Lolita and still have two books to be read, one of which would probably take me two months to finish, which accounts for the meticulous quantity of books here.












And of course, graphic novels have this interminable place in my heart. If I could own every single Topshelf and DC-Vertigo graphic novels in the world, I would be the happiest.
