Sweetest thing Saturday, April 7, 2012 @ 10:51 PM
An old classmate's father passed away yesterday. She sat in front of me. Honestly speaking, she appears a bit intimidating but once you get to know her, she'll end up being one of the wisest people you are most likely to encounter, you'll feel like the stupidest sh*t ever born. Not to mention, one of the most awesome dancers you will ever see. She's got mad skills I'm telling you.

It made me realize how my father means so much to me. I want him to feel how thankful I am for raising me well and for giving me and my siblings, as well as my mother a good life. He is good. No matter how people will always have something negative to say to him, well they can say whatever they want but he never ever failed on his duty of being a father. He taught us the value of being frugal and being modest. The God-fearing side was taken care of by my mother.

I'm always proud of him, more than he is proud of me. I am proud that I have a father who prioritizes family over anything else. He never really took care of us in such a manner that he changed our diapers (or should I say lampin?) when we were still babies. He took care of us in such a way that he provided us food and shelter and clothes. At times when we're lucky, he buys us ice cream, chocolates, and toys. But on most occasions, we got used to what he always used to tell  us, to be happy with what we have even without the ice cream, chocolates, and the toys.

A few weeks ago, he asked me to upload pictures from his phone to his facebook account. See, he has the habit of changing his password every single day, it's really frustrating. I don't know why he does that. So I asked him what his password was for the day. He told me he forgot..... SERIOUSLY???? Whenever he forgets, it will alway ends in bickering. Anyway, I asked him all the possible passwords and the first thing he ever said was my name. Okay I may appear dumb for saying this out in the public but it doesn't matter. It didn't work people. But by the fact that he used my name for one of his everyday changing password, I was touched. He mentioned a lot of passwords until we ended it with the right one. I was the only name that he mentioned. All the other passwords were something else.

Really, that was the sweetest thing he's done ever since I was a kid when he told me we are going to grab some pizza, just him and I. Well I know a lot people don't consider that sweet but I'm a crab, I don't take everything for granted. Every little thing to me is significant.

Sorry for being such a cheese this day. I was just so happy. Whoever you are reading this, please make your father proud. Stop drinking, stop smoking, and stop getting your girfriend pregnant.
